I think the last point you made about trade-offs with free public transit (e.g., free with less frequency vs not free with more frequent options) is really important. I’m interested to see how city governments navigate and prioritize these factors as more cities hopefully try out similar pilots.
Yeah I think it's really hard to definitively say what the "best" way to run these services is, that's why pilots like this are great because it actually lets cities see what their residents' needs actually are/what behaviors they can induce. I'm in general a big fan of Mayor Wu as well so excited to see where this leads!
